    Born in Santa Fiora, in the Tuscany region, Guido Strazza became a follower of the Italian futurists at the age of 20. In the years around 1948, the young artist traveled to Brazil, Chile and Peru, where he took part in the Biennale di San Paolo in 1951 and 1953. In 1954, Strazza returned to Italy and had his first solo exhibition at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

    In 1964 he established himself in Rome and increasingly focused on etching. The works of this period were presented at the Venice Biennale in 1968. In the 1970s and 1980s Strazza mainly worked in cycles of paintings and prints.
