    Claudio José María de la Concepción Roux was an Argentine surrealist painter who produced works in various mediums including drawings, watercolors, tempera, and collages. He was born in Argentina and received the Konex Platinum Award in 1982 as the most important surrealist painter in the history of Argentina. Roux's work shows a strong influence of surrealism and includes pieces such as El collar de perlas, La valse, Isolabella, Paisaje con el Etna, and Maja y torero con instrumentos musicales. In the 1990s, he produced a large work entitled Mujer y máscaras, which is on display at the Galerías Pacífico in Buenos Aires.
