Guy du Toit works in a wide range of media including bronze, steel, stone, wood, and pen and ink. Du Toit graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1982 with a BA in Fine Art. He has run numerous workshops, curated exhibitions, and lectured at a number of South African academic institutions. He currently works from his studio in Swavelpoort and is a part-time lecturer at the University of Pretoria. Du Toit’s earliest work was influenced by his experiences in the South African National Defence Force and steeped in social commentary.
