    Harold Klunder RCA (1943)

    A prominent Canadian painter, graphic designer, printmaker and educator, Harold Klunder was born in Deventer, The Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada in 1952, and currently lives in Montreal, Quebec. He is a member of Royal Canadian Academy of Arts* and his works are collected by many Canadian museums including the National Gallery of Canada. (1)

    His most typical medium is heavy impasto* oil painting. He has also worked in acrylics, watercolor, pastel, collage*, monoprint*, etching*, aquatint*, woodcut*, serigraph*, lithograph*, poster and mixed mediums. His subjects are portraits (many works incorporate "self portrait" in the title), figures, landscapes, city scenes, social commentary and abstractio...
