    Hector Doukas was born in Izmir in 1885. He later died in Athens in 1969. He was a distinguished Greek painter, who formed a unique style between academicism, impressionism and expressionism.

    Hector Doukas initially studied painting at the Academy of Munich in the workshop of Ludwig von Lofftz (Ger., Ludwig von Löfftz), and then at the Academy Julien (gal., Académie Julian) in Paris. In 1907, he moved to Munich, where in 1913 he received honors.

    While he was still in Munich, he started exhibiting his works in Greece, where he finally returned. In addition to solo exhibitions, he also participated in major group exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale in 1934 and the Panhellenic Exhibitions of 1948, 1952, 196...
