    Henri Émile Allouard was born in 1844 and passed away in 1929. A multifaceted artist, he pursued both painting and sculpture throughout his career. His exclusive dedication to art came later in life, as he initially worked in various trades to support himself. He exhibited at the Paris Salons between 1865 and 1928 and participated in several universal exhibitions.

    Allouard’s sculpture exemplifies the "neo-baroque" style popular in France during the late 19th century, closely tied to the Second Empire aesthetic. One of his notable works, Joan of Arc, depicts the "Maid of Orleans" in a moment of ecstatic rapture following her military victories.
