    Henri Lucien Joseph Buron (1880-1969)

    Born in Rouen, he studied first in Rouen and later in Paris where he was a student of Francois Cormon and Albert Lebourg. A member of the Société des Artistes Française, he exhibited at its Salons from 1924 and was awarded a gold medal there in 1935. Buron won a variety of other awards and medals including at the Universal Exposition of 1937 and was later appointed professor at his old school, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rouen.

    Henri Buron's work is held in the permanent collection of Honfleur Museum.
