    Henryk Szczyglinski was a Polish artist born in 1881 in Lodz. He studied in Munich and at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he was greatly influenced by his professors, including Jan Stanislawski, Teodor Axentowicz, Leon Wyczólkowski, and Jacek Malczewski. Szczyglinski was known for his atmospheric landscapes and Krakow nocturnes, as well as his interest in allegorical and mythological themes. He died in 1944 in Warsaw.
