    Herbert Barnett is the Dean of the Cincinnati Art Academy, a post which was first held by Frank Duveneck. Herbert Barnett is also an artist who produces dynamic paintings that captivate the viewer's attention in much the same way as the paintings of his illustrious predecessor. In looking at a Barnett painting, there is a certain vibrancy felt between the actual structural lines seen, and the implied structure of interfacial tensions, which seem to result in breathing life into his work.
