  • Biography

    Born in Singapore in 1947, Lee Hock Moh has established both local and international reputation for his vibrant yet delicate orchid paintings in Gongbi (fine line) style with Chinese traditional ink paint.  For his artistic contributions, Lee was awarded the Cultural Medallion for Visual Arts in 1981.

    Integrating techniques from both Chinese traditional ink painting and Western oil painting, Lee developed his own unique style to capture the beauty and the melody of nature.  Nature’s Melody; Everlasting Bliss; Flora and Fauna; Peace and Harmony created in 2015, best exemplifies how Lee blurs the boundary between the West and the East.
