    Ilhan Koman was a sculptor and educator. He was born in Edirne, Turkey (220 miles west of Istanbul) and died in Stockholm, Sweden, where he had lived since 1958. He has also lived in Istanbul, Turkey (1940 -1947 and 1951-1957); Paris, France (1947-1951); and Brussels, Belgium (1957-1958).

    His mediums include iron, steel, stainless steel, clay, wood, plastic, bronze, paper, plaster, titanium and mixed mediums. His subjects are shape, texture, colour, figures, symbolism, allegory and mathematic and geometric concepts. His styles are diverse and include Realism*, Abstract Expressionism*, Abstraction*, Op Art*, Constructivism* and Kinetic Art*. ...
