    Jacek Rykala (born September 1, 1950 in Sosnowiec ) - artist, painter , professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice , vice-rector of the above-mentioned university, runs the Drawing and Painting Studio; also a poet and director (author of the plays "House intended for demolition" and "Mleczarnia").

    In 1968, he graduated from the 3rd Secondary School of General Education. Boleslaw Prus in Sosnowiec , and in 1976 the Graphics Department in Katowice at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow . The subject of the works is filled with the face of the eastern part of Upper Silesia and the Dabrowski Basin (courtyards, gates, mysterious places not only from childhood).
