    Jean-Jacques Feuchère was born in 1807 and died in 1852. He was a French sculptor, and disciple of Jean-Pierre Cortot. Among his pupils is Jacques-Léonard Maillet. Between 1844 and 1847, the Fountain of Saint-Sulpice Square was built. The project was built by the architect Louis Visconti (1791-1853).

    Jean-Jacques Feuchère, François Lanno, Louis Desprez and Jacques-Auguste Fauginet participated as sculptors, each of them respectively creating the figures of the bishops Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet (to the north), Fénelon (to the west), Esprit Fléchier (to the east) and Jean-Baptiste Massillon (to the south).
