    Jim Harrison's paintings of farm landscapes, country stores, and small town architecture invite the viewer to experience early 20th century rural life in America. His subjects -- railroad stations, churches, one room school houses, country stores, covered bridges, and farm buildings -- represent the spirit of an agrarian society.

    His painting career began with a Coca Cola sign on the side of the hardware store in Denmark, South Carolina. After a more than 40 years as a painter and writer, he has limited edition prints, paintings, trademarks and seven books to his name.
