    Jindrich Bubenicek was born in Kšely, Czechoslovakia on July 13, 1856. A Czech illustrator, painter and puppeteer, Jindrich studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with professors Jana Swertse and Antonína Lhoty from 1874 - 1882.

    Jindrich lived in Uhrínevsi from 1914-1935. Influenced by his younger brother, Otto Bubenícek, he began painting. During this time Jindrich became a member of JUV and belonged to the founding generation of artists at the National Theater. Jindrich Bubenicek was a representative of romantic painting.

    His work includes rural vorangig motifs, the Czech Maltese Country juices, and Städische monuments and buildings. From 1927 through 1931, Jindrich completed 25 paintings for the City Sa...
