About Jingkun Shao

  • Biography

    Shao Jingkun was born in 1932. She is a native of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. She was admitted in 1949 to the National Beijing Art Institute (the present Central Academy of Fine Arts) to learn painting, with the celebrated art masters Xu Beihong, Dong Xiwen and Ye Qianyu as tutors. In 1953 she began to study for master's degree at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and retained to work as teacher at the same school after graduation.
