Jo Jastram was a renowned German sculptor who was born in the 20th century. He completed various apprenticeships and studied sculpture at several prestigious institutions in Germany. Jastram worked as a freelance sculptor in Rostock and held teaching positions at different art schools. His extensive body of work includes large-scale sculptures, relief cycles, stelae, friezes, portraits, animal depictions, and small-scale sculptures. Jastram gained recognition through numerous awards, cultural policy positions, and international exhibitions like "documenta 6" in Kassel.
