    Joachim George Gauthier RCA, OSA, CSPWC, ALCT (1897 - 1988)

    A prominent Canadian painter, printmaker, draftsman, commercial artist, and illustrator, Joachim George Gauthier (AKA: Joachim Gauthier) was born in North Bay, Ontario, lived much of his life in Toronto, and died at his home in Minden, Ontario, a town about 100 miles north west of Toronto. He exhibited with the Group of Seven* and was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts*; several museums collect his work, including the National Gallery of Canada.
