Trained in the academic realism of Ricardo Anckermann, Fuster evolved towards the bourgeois and intimate side of modernism, influenced by Rusiñol and Casas. A good friend of Rusiñol and Mir, Fuster is today considered one of the best representatives of Balearic luminarism. Gold medal winner at the Marseilles International Exhibition in 1903, he was particularly active during the 1920s, when he exhibited in Palma, Mahón, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich and Buenos Aires. He was also a teacher at the School of Arts and Crafts in Palma.
