A graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts, Wladyslaw Strzeminski in Lódz, Poland, Johanna Glazewska grew up in Upper Silesia, and now lives and works in Warsaw.

Since childhood, in contrast to the world around her, she has been fascinated by light and bold color. The desire for an abstract escape from the communist, working-class everyday life around and the longing for the absent color, even then gives rise to images saturated with an exotic clash of colors in her imagination.

It triggers an internal projection of millions of elusive compositions, which the author has poured onto the canvas to this day in a continuous process of almost compulsive creation.
