At the age of 10, he moved from the east coast to Southern California near Disneyland where he went to school. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara, BFA, and UC Irvine, MFA. During his graduate work, he had his first solo show in New York at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery and the Jack Glenn Gallery in Corona del Mar, CA. This started his career as a professional artist.
