    John Kenneth Esler BFA, B.Ed, ARCA, CPE, CSGA, PDCC (1933 - 2001)

    A prominent and influential Canadian printmaker, draftsman, painter, educator and leader in the arts community, John Kenneth Esler was born in Pilot Mount, Manitoba and died in Calgary, Alberta. He was the first Chairman of the Print and Drawing Council of Canada*, a juror and organizer for Canadian and international exhibitions, a consulting juror for the Canada Council*, and the founder of Trojan Press and Studio JKE. He was instrumental in developing the printmaking department at the Alberta College of Art and Design and at the University of Calgary. His prints have been exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City...
