    John White Allen Scott, born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, spent his entire career in the Boston area. He apprenticed to lithographer, William Pendleton and later worked with Fitz Henry Lane to produce lithographs. He was a member of the Boston Art Club and exhibited there and at the Boston Athenaeum.
