    Jorn Pfab was a sculptor from Hamburg, Germany who was a leading representative of the steel plastic movement in Germany. He trained as a stonemason and studied at the HfBK in the class of Edwin Scharff starting in 1946. Pfab initially executed his works in bronze, but from 1961 he began using Chrome-Nickel-Molybdenum-Steel and had to learn the technology of welding. He was known for creating monumental sculptures defined by prismatic, cubic, and spheric structures. His large oeuvre includes numerous works for public spaces, as well as small-sized sculptures and design objects.
