    A self-taught painter, José Manuel Fonfría develops a work of impressionist technique, focused on the seascape and still life, mainly on flowers. He held his first individual exhibition in 1958, in the Burgos town of Miranda de Ebro, and from 1960 he will show his work uninterruptedly until today, through various exhibitions and competitions, both in Spain and in the United States.

    Portugal and Switzerland. Fonfría is president of the Association of Marinist Painters, as well as a member of the Royal Naval League and a corresponding academic of the Royal Academy of the Sea.
