    Teodor Jozef Mousson was a Slovak Impressionist painter. He was born December 15, 1887 in Hogyész, Hungary. Between 1905-1909, he studied Mousson at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. In 1911 he moved to Michaloviec, where he worked until 1919 as a teacher.

    Since 1919 Mousson dedicated himself to professional painting. In 1942 he suffered a serious disease in which there was bleeding in the brain, and Mousson's entire left part of his body was paralyzed. In 1946, for his bad physical and mental state moved to Bratislava and then to his son's home in Trencin, where he died.
