    German/Jewish painter and graphic artist. Born Julie Wolf.

    In the mid-1890s she added her place of birth Thorn (today Toru'n / Poland) to her surname Wolf and called herself Wolfthorn from then on. Married to the art critic Rudolf Klein and sister of the sculptor Georg Wolf. From 1890 she studied painting and graphics in Berlin. 1892 at the Academia Colarossi* and with Gust. Courtois in Paris, influenced there by Aman-Jean, later also by the Impressionists*.
