    Christian Julius Zielke, (Julius Zielcke) was born in 1826. He was a landscape painter. Zielke is considered one of the last representatives of German Romanticism.

    He studied from 1845-51, with a scholarship from Gdansk peace society at the Dusseldorf Academy. He studied with Friedrich Wilhelm Schadow, Johann Wilhelm Schirmer, and the building class of Rudolf Wiegmann.

    In 1847, he participated in a study trip through the Rhineland and Eifel. Zielke was a member of the Düsseldorf artist association "Malkasten". He was charged with the art exhibitions in Konigsberg from 1848-65. In 1852, he traveled with Joseph Victor von Scheffel to Rome. Henceforth, he wo...
