    Jutai Toonoo (1959 – 2015)

    A prominent Inuit* sculptor, painter, draftsman* and printmaker, Jutai Toonoo (aka: Felix Toonoo; aka: Jutai Felix Toonoo; disc number* E71682) was born in a camp near Cape Dorset (Baffin Island), Nunavut, Canada and died at work in his studio in Cape Dorset. His works were included in several important exhibitions. His works are also in the permanent collections of the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau, Quebec), the McMichael Canadian Art Collection (Kleinburg, Ontario), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Quebec), the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa), the Quebec Museum of Fine Arts (Quebec City) and the Winnipeg Art Gallery* (Manitoba).
