    Karl-August Lebschee was a German painter, draftsman, and graphic artist. In 1815, Lebschee received a scholarship from the King of Bavaria, where he studied at the Munich Art Academy with Max Josef Wagenbauer, Johann Georg Dillis, Wilhelm von Kobell and Carl Ernst Christoph Heß.

    In 1825, Lebschee became active as a freelance artist in Munich, and specialized in the depiction of old castles and palaces.
