    Karl Ludwig Prinz was born in 1875. Karl Ludwig Prinz was a self-taught artist. With his landscapes influenced by the Art Nouveau movement he quickly gained popularity.

    From 1908 onwards he was a member of artist's cooperative in Vienna where he regularly exhibited his works. He was also a member of the Dürer League.

    In addition, Prinz created stage sets for the Royal Opera House in Vienna and for theaters in Munich, Hamburg, and New York. During World War I, he worked as a war artist.

    The artist is primarily known for his panoramas of the the Vienna Woods, the Alps, and the Dolomites.
