A divorcée, in 1936 she moved to Hollywood, California where she lived for ten years. She then maintained a studio in Seattle and, while there, worked in the Cascades, Olympic Mountains, and Alaska. After her marriage to artist Olin Travis in 1916, the couple founded the Dallas Art Institute in 1925 and Summer School in the Ozarks. A divorcée, in 1936 she moved to Hollywood, California where she lived for ten years. She then maintained a studio in Seattle and, while there, worked in the Cascades, Olympic Mountains, and Alaska.
