Kevin Samuel Murphy (b.1969)

Largely a self taught artist, he was born in June 1969 in London, England. His Father was from Ireland his Mother also from Irish decent.

Kevin grew up in the streets and back yards of Stokenewington/ Hackney a colourful inner city neighbourhood. He started drawing and painting as a small child, sometimes using art as a form of escapism from the realities of life growing up in 1970s London. Kevin started art school at 20 years of age but due to lack of financial support he was forced to give up his studies and seek employment in order to survive.
