About Konrad Bose

    Relatively little is known of the artist and draughtsman Konrad Böse, who was a follower (and may have been a pupil) of Adolph von Menzel.

    Böse worked in Berlin and began to establish his reputation around 1885. In 1909 he is known to have exhibited a large number of drawings in Berlin.

    He was also active as a professor at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts*, where among his pupils was the painter Erich Wolfsfeld.
