Krystyna Nowakowska is a Polish artist who graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under the supervision of Jerzy Bandura. She specializes in creating intimate and unique sculptures using the "lost wax" technique. Her "Traces of Existences" series explores existential themes related to transience, life, and death, often presenting man as delicate and fragile. The series consists of sculptures in the form of chairs, armchairs, and sofas, with imprints of human bodies visible on their surfaces. Nowakowska's work emphasizes the connection between objects and the theme of passing
