    Kurt Klamann, a German artist, was known for his work as a press cartoonist, illustrator, and expressive landscape painter. He gained popularity for his frivolous to erotic watercolors. Encouraged by Max Kaus, he studied at the Berlin Academy under Kaus and Orlowski starting in 1928. His artistic career was influenced by his close acquaintance with Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. After being released from British captivity as a prisoner of war, Klamann resumed his artistic career in Zingst in 1946, following years of professional restrictions and military service....
