  • Biography

    Tao LengYue is Wu Liu's descendant, born in Suzhou in 1895. He was a Shanghai Museum Librarian and member of the Chinese Artists Association Shanghai Branch.

    He specialized in landscapes, flowers, animals, fish, and then practiced western painting, and was especially adept at painting of Moonlight views in Chinese and Western styles.

    He held many solo exhibitions in Suzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai etc. in his early years. His works were exhibited at the Japan Tokyo Calligraphy Association, Philadelphia Expo, Art nations tournament, among others.

    His works titles "Pine and snow", "Moon and plum" and others are in the collection of the Shanghai museum. "Double pine with moon...
