Fontan was established in Paris as a painter and decorative artist and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and the Humorists' Salon. Fontan received the Bonat Former Students' Prize in 1936, a Silver Medal and was made Chavalier of the Légion d'Honneur. Leo Fontan died June 26 in Annecy.
