    Solomon Leon Sarluis, of Dutch origin, who lived from 1874 to 1949, chose the name in tribute to Leonardo da Vinci and moved to Paris in 1894. In the wake of Armand Point who made known in artistic and literary circles Symbolists, he practices immediately a painting inspired by old whose point thought he had found some recipes. His inspiration is emblematic of a turn of the century that combines nostalgia for an imagined past, decadent themes and sometimes cloudy mysticism. He exhibited in 1896 at the Fifth Exhibition of Rosicrucian he performs with Point poster programmatic.
