    Leyla Gamsiz Sarptürk was a Turkish artist active during the 1950s. She studied under Bedri Rahmi Eyüboglu at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul and founded the "10lar grubu" group in 1947. She traveled to Paris in 1950 to further her training with André Lhote and Fernand Léger. Leyla settled in Hendek, near Istanbul, with her husband Nedim Günsür, drawing inspiration from the village for her rural compositions. Her work evolved towards more abstract creations, focusing on colored masses.
