    Li Binghong, a native of Dongguan, was born in Hongay, Vietnam, and lived in there during his childhood. He received guidance by Ruan Youqi in his early years and followed Li Tiefu learning painting. He came to Hong Kong in 1931, later changed a lot of jobs such as artistic teacher, store clerk, advertisement designer, stage setting artist and correspondent. Since the anti-Japanese war exploded in He created many anti-Japanese subject art works like , , and hold solo exhibition in Hong Kong, Qujiang, Changsha, Guilin, Shanghai, etc. In 1946, Li arrived at North Jiangsu Base Area to join New 4 Army, and then took on professor in East China Development University.
