About Linda Lillegraven

  • Biography

    From her studio in Laramie, Wyoming, Linda Lillegraven paints oil and pastel panoramic landscapes whose linear qualities make them seem minimalist in style. She also makes frames for her paintings.

    As a child growing up in Georgia and later in California, she showed early art talent. She earned a degree in art from San Diego State University and worked as an illustrator for the telephone company before enrolling at the University of Utah where she earned a degree in biology. However her dislike of solo field work caused her to return to art.

    Lillegraven married and moved to Virginia and painted birds and flowers for Hamilton Collection plates, and in her spare time, painted wildlife. Following a divorce, she headed West and m...
