His studio there was full of cowboy and Indian relics for he strove for accurate details, his hallmark. Bjorklund illustrated more than 300 books, both for adults and for children. His specialty was the Early American west. He also illustrated and wrote many books including Faces of the Frontier and The Great American Buffalo.
