In 1920, together with the formists, he exhibited his works in Lviv, Krakow and Warsaw. In 1921 he moved to Berlin. He studied at the Bauhaus in Weimar before returning to Lviv. He was involved in illustration, set design and decoration projects for experimental Lviv theatres. From 1930 he belonged to the "Artes" association as well as to the Trade Union of Artists.
