    Ludwig Peter Kowalski was born in 1891 in Königshütte / Oberschlesien. He studied at the Academy in Breslau under Hans Poelzig. From 1914-18 Kowalski served in the military. He took several study trips to Italy. From 1927, he worked at the crafts and arts and crafts school in Breslau, and in 1928 he became a member of the German Association of Artists. He was dismissed as undesirable in 1934, and then he escaped from Breslau in 1945. Since 1949, he lived in Berlin. He held a close friendship with Otto Müller. He also created the round windows in the Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedächtniskirche.Vollmer and Wikipedia
