    Ludwig Vordermayer was a German sculptor born in an unknown year. He was the son of sculptor Hans Vordermayer and trained as a sculptor at the Kunstgewerbemuseum educational institution in Berlin. He studied under Peter Breuer and Karl Begas. Vordermayer's main interest was in depicting animals and his small works were featured in the catalogues of the Gladenbeck foundry in Berlin. He was represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1893. Vordermayer died in Berlin and was buried in the Berlin cemetery of the parish of St. Matthias.
