    Lydia de Burgh was born in 1923. Lydia de Burgh was a crafted commercial painter and was educated in the Byam Shaw School of Art in 1952. De Burgh is well know for painting portraits of H.M. the Queen as well as other members of the Royal family. She has been known to experiment with landscapes and wildlife with oil and watercolour. Lydia’s work has been shown in the Northern Ireland Office, Vose Gallery, Boston, The Ulster Museum, the Sportman’s Gallery, New York and Rowland Ward. Lydia de Burgh passed away in 2007.
