    Magdalena Wiecek studied painting at the PWSSP in Sopot under the supervision of Marian Wnuk. She also studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She graduated in 1952 from Franciszek Strynkiewicz's studio. In the same year, she made her debut with the sculpture Górnicy.

    She exhibited in the first half of the 1950s at the Zacheta National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, and in 1955 she took part in the Exhibition of Young Fine Arts at the Arsenal. She had her first solo exhibition in 1960 at the Krzywe Kolo Gallery in Warsaw. In 1966-1982 she worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, and in 1983-1984 she lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. She also began her creative work abroad.
