    Cheng Mao-Hung was born in Xinchu, Taiwan in 1934. Cheng moved to Taipei, and studying alone apprenticed with Lioa The-Cheng, and Chang Yi-Xun. In 1950, Cheng was admitted to the Taipei Normal College, Group of Art. In his leisure time, he studied books about arts, color, composition, etc. Cheng Mao-Huang began to teach art in 1954, and at the same time continued to paint, practicing various techniques diligently. Cheng also traveled to Europe, Japan and the United States visiting museums frequently. Cheng's works integrate the East and West, representing a romantic sense.
