    Marcel Delmotte, born in 1901 in Charleroi (Belgium) and died on 8 November 1984 in Mont-sur-Marchienne (Belgium) was a Belgian and surrealist Walloon painter

    Painter on canvases, watercolorist and draftsman as well as portraitist, painter of nudes and landscapes, Delmotte was also sculptor. He specializes in visionary landscapes and symbolic frescoes.

    He was the pupil of the painter Léon Van den Houten at the free workshop of the University of Labor in Charleroi.

    A realistic painter in his early days, he was influenced by Expressionism and evolved into classical symbolism, great compositions, lunar landscapes and futuristic architectures.

    His ideology was inspired by mythology, the Bible and the Divin...
